Richard Kourtz

Richard Kourtz has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. In 2004, they began their career as a Software Developer at Opera Telecom USA. From 2005 to 2007, they served as the Chief Information Officer at JBR Media Ventures. Richard then joined VeriSign, Inc. as an Operations Engineer from 2007 to 2010. Richard worked as a Systems Architect at Nokia from 2010 to 2011, and then moved on to become the Principal Infrastructure Architect at Demandware from 2011 to 2014. Starting in 2014, they worked as a Software Engineer at NuoDB until 2016. Richard's recent experience includes roles at BitSight, where they were a Principal Engineer from 2016 to 2019, a Technical Director in DevOps from 2019 to 2021, and currently holds the position of Director of Core Engineering since January 2021.

Richard Kourtz attended Melrose High School from 1989 to 1993. Afterward, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, which they completed from 1999 to 2005.
