Daniel Velázquez Escobar has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Daniel started their career as a Law Clerk at Bolsa Mexicana de Valores in 2009 before moving on to TenarisTamsa as a Law Clerk in 2011. In 2012, they worked as a Law Clerk at Höly, Rauch & Partner where they assisted in matters regarding German-Mexican National Stolen Property Regulation. Daniel then joined CMS Hasche Sigle in 2017 as a Foreign Associate on Secondment. From 2013 to 2018, Daniel worked at Santamarina y Steta, where they served as an Associate, gaining experience in corporate governance, financial markets, M&A, and project finance. In 2018, they joined SURA Investments as a Legal Senior Associate and later became the Vice President Legal - México, where they were involved in legal structuring, digital solutions, and implementation of regulatory requirements. Currently, Daniel holds the position of Lead - Growth & Business Legal at Bitso starting in 2022.

Daniel Velázquez Escobar has a diverse educational background. Daniel started their education at Deutsche Schule Mexico - Colegio Alemán Alexander von Humboldt from 1993 to 2007, where they completed their primary, secondary, and preparatory studies. In 2012, they participated in a student exchange program at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Daniel later pursued a degree in Law at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México from 2008 to 2012, graduating with honors. In 2014, they obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Markets Regulation from the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores - Mexican Stock Market Education. Daniel then continued their studies at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School in 2015, earning a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Banking, Corporate, Finance and Securities Law. During the same year, they also obtained a Banking, Corporate and Finance Certification from The Wharton School.
