Saif Abid

Saif Abid is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in MLOps, data engineering, and cloud infrastructure. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Bitstrapped, Saif specializes in applications and infrastructure deployments using Kubernetes, GKE, and various Google Cloud services. As a fractional CTO for YSpace at York University, Saif has dedicated efforts to support startups in their growth. Saif co-founded Inkrement, which promotes a culture of continuous feedback integrated within Slack. Previous roles include Staff Machine Learning Engineer at ecobee, where Saif led teams in developing data services, and Lead Instructor at BrainStation, focusing on practical machine learning education. Early career experiences span multiple companies, including Wattpad and Ember Chat, where Saif gained expertise in software development, micro-service architecture, and large-scale data processing. Saif holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto.
