Ariel Bookman has a diverse work experience spanning from 2007 to 2022. They began their career as a Teaching Assistant at Northwestern University in September 2008 and later transitioned into the role of Editorial Assistant, where they solicited, evaluated, and proofread manuscripts for TriQuarterly Online. They also contributed book reviews and facilitated the journal's transition from print to online format. In 2016, Ariel joined The Princeton Review as a Classroom Instructor, Private Tutor, and Proctor. Their responsibilities included teaching and providing individualized tutoring for students. In 2017, they established their own business called Beyond Test Prep, where they served as the Owner and Tutor. Their mission was to help high school students prepare for college by raising academic performance, building executive skills, and reducing stress and anxiety. They provided standardized test preparation and emphasized the importance of developing resilience, endurance, and problem-solving abilities. Most recently, Ariel joined Bitwise Asset Management in February 2022 as a Senior Editor in Compliance & Quality Control.
Ariel Bookman pursued higher education, starting in 2001, by enrolling at Emory University. In 2005, Bookman graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in English and History. Continuing with the dedication to academics, Bookman joined Northwestern University in 2007 to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in English Language and Literature/Letters. Bookman completed this doctoral program in 2016.
