Patrick Derde

Patrick Derde is an experienced professional in the fields of information architecture and strategy, currently serving as Chair of Information Architecture at the Banking Industry Architecture Network (BIAN) since January 2017, where efforts focus on developing the BIAN Banking Object Model for data governance and messaging. As a Managing Partner at Envizion cvba, established in February 2009, Patrick aims to empower clients through effective information strategies. Additional roles include Fellow at KU Leuven, Enterprise Architecture Consultant at BiZZdesign, and a member of ISO/TC68/SC8/WG2, among others. Patrick's extensive experience includes a directorial position at DAMA Belux and BIT Consult, and a long tenure as Enterprise Architect at KBC Bank from 1987 to 2011. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Actuarial Sciences and a Master's degree in Commercial Engineering from KU Leuven.
