Jonas Meier

Jonas Meier is a quantitative analyst in commodity trading at BKW AG since November 2025, bringing a strong background in economics and econometrics. Previously, Jonas served as an economist at the Schweizerische Nationalbank from April 2023 to September 2025, and as an assistant professor of econometrics at the Universiteit van Amsterdam on a tenure track from September 2021 to March 2023. Prior experience includes a post-doctoral position and teaching assistant roles at Universität Bern, involvement as a research assistant for a Swiss National Fund project at Berner Fachhochschule BFH, and a part-time assistant position at Kinder- und Jugendfachstelle Aaretal. Jonas holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Bern, alongside a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Economics from the same institution, as well as additional doctoral training at the Study Center Gerzensee.
