Michael Beer

Michael Beer currently serves as the Head of Markets & Regulation at BKW AG, overseeing strategic market analysis and regulatory management for the entire BKW Group, and is also involved in divisional management for the Energy Markets Division. In addition to this role, Michael Beer holds a position as a municipal councillor for the Einwohnergemeinde Neuenegg, focusing on finance and property. Previously, Michael Beer had significant roles at CKW as Senior Manager for Regulatory & Public Affairs, was a Public Affairs Manager at swisselectric, and worked as an Energy Economist and Regulatory Adviser at BKW Energie AG. Michael Beer also has academic experience as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Fribourg. With a solid educational background in Economics and Mathematics, complemented by specialized training in energy trading and risk management, Michael Beer contributes extensive knowledge and expertise to the energy sector.
