David Witkowski

David Witkowski currently serves as the Data Engineering Chapter Lead at BlaBlaCar, following a progression of roles from Senior Analytics Engineer to Analytics Engineer. Prior experience includes four years at sevDesk as an Analytics Engineer, where David consolidated the data stack, introduced CI for a large dbt project, and rolled out Looker and Metabase as BI tools. Early career experiences span positions as a Scientific Assistant in health data at Université de Strasbourg, an intern in project and data management at infas Institut für angewandte Sozialwissenschaft GmbH, and research assistant roles at the University of Pennsylvania and University of California, Berkeley. David holds a Master of Science degree in Sociology and Social Research from the University of Cologne and has participated in exchange programs at The University of British Columbia and the University of Warsaw.
