Jay Beale is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience in information security services as the CEO and CTO of InGuardians, Inc. since October 2001. Notable contributions include conducting Red Team Assessments, penetration testing, and security architecture reviews. Additionally, Jay has been a Principal Security Consultant, CTO, and COO at Black Hat since 2002, where training as an instructor and course author on Linux Security and Kubernetes has been pivotal. As a project lead for Bastille Linux and scoring tool creator for The Center for Internet Security, significant advancements in security for Linux and UNIX systems have been achieved. Jay's expertise is further demonstrated through speaking engagements at prominent IT security conferences worldwide. Educational qualifications include a BS in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and participation in a PhD program in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Maryland.
