Black In Environment is a 501c3 fiscally-sponsored non-profit that aims to illuminate Black excellence in environmental fields. Our mission is to build community for Black people in environmental spaces and highlight the scholarship, activism, and engagement of Black environmentalists globally.

BIE primarily engages Black community-engaged researchers and early career professionals who advocate for environmental justice and equity in environmental STEM education. We also provide environmental education through our website and YouTube content.
