Black Mind is a grassroots art-as-activism organisation that centres the collective mental health, wellbeing, justice and joy of disabled Black people in Britain. 

Born from the lived experiences of of a Black, queer, disabled femme, Black Mind creates opportunities for our community by showcasing Black artists within our annual zine (#BadMindZine) delivering Wellbeing Workshops, Open Spaces (#BlackMindBlooms) and producing culturally informed live events that centre the abundant difference that lies within the Black experience.
 
Black Mind believes in sustainable change with accessibility at its core. Our purpose is to leave behind a legacy of care and support for Deaf, disabled, queer, trans and our othered Black siblings.
 
We know that creative access is essential to the collective mental health, wellbeing, justice, and joy of disabled Black people in Britain. We intentionally cultivating loving, welcoming, open and Covid-safer environments for our community.
