With the knowledge that only 1% of Texas state park participants identify as Black/African-American, Black Outside is working to reconnect Black/African-American youth to the outdoors by reimagining programming for Black youth.

 Our programming is unique as we build off of the rich cultural history of people of color in the outdoors to craft immersive nature-based experiences that deepen a young person's understanding of self, their culture, and a greater appreciation for the outdoors.
