Kyle Smith

Kyle Smith, PE, is an accomplished Electrical Engineer currently serving as Electrical Engineer 4 for Federal Facility Design at Black & Veatch since July 2023. Previously, Kyle held the positions of Lead Engineer and Engineer in Radar Cross Section at GE Aviation from March 2020 to July 2023. Earlier experience includes a role as Design Engineer at CE Power from May 2016 to March 2020, where responsibilities encompassed electrical and mechanical switchgear designs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, as well as hands-on measurement and inspection work. As a GAP Design Engineer, Kyle focused on learning under senior engineers while completing a thesis project. Additionally, Kyle contributed as a Research and Lab Assistant at Miami University, aiding in the development of a Power Research lab, as well as serving as a Resident Assistant for 72 students. Kyle graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Miami University in 2017.
