Ryan Smith

Ryan Smith has over 15 years of experience in the engineering and management sectors, currently serving as the Western Region Manager at Black & Veatch since June 2008. In this role, Ryan develops global resource management strategies to enhance efficiency and build high-performing teams. Previous positions at Black & Veatch, including Department Head and Power Delivery Section Lead, involved leadership in functional group effectiveness, resource coordination, and client engagement. Additionally, Ryan served as a Lead Project Engineer, specializing in substation design. Prior experience includes a tenure at the Golden Fire Department, where Ryan progressed to Lieutenant and participated in the Technical Rescue Team. Ryan holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Colorado School of Mines.
