Stephen Smith

Stephen Smith is the Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer at Amsted Industries, a role currently held after previously serving as President and Chief Executive Officer in 2017. They were the President of Amsted Rail from 2005 to 2007 and held the position of President at GKN North America Services from 1999 to 2005. Prior to that, they served as Vice President and General Counsel at The Interlake Corporation from 1991 to 1999. Smith holds a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and an A.B. in Political Science from Wheaton College. Currently, Smith is also a Board Member at Black & Veatch since 2025.
