Todd Tharpe

Senior Hydrogeologist

Todd Tharpe is a seasoned hydrogeologist and engineering geologist with extensive experience in geotechnical investigations and groundwater resource management. Since joining Black & Veatch in 2014, Todd has focused on large-scale bedrock tunneling projects, engaging in riverbank filtration studies, geological mapping, and borehole geophysical surveys. Prior roles include Senior Project Manager at Bernardin, Lochmueller and Associates, Inc. and Senior Hydrogeologist at Layne Christensen, where Todd specialized in groundwater exploration, resource protection, and aquifer testing. Todd's earlier career includes positions as Senior Geologist at Jordan, Jones & Goulding, Geologist at URS Corporation, and Hydrologic Technician at the U.S. Geological Survey, all emphasizing groundwater studies and contamination remediation. Todd earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from the University of West Georgia.
