Douglas Main is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in mobile device technology. Currently serving as the Director of Blackberry System Engineering at Blackberry since 2009, Douglas has successfully built and managed an organization of 150 employees with a $22 million budget. Previously, at Motorola Mobile Devices from 1995 to 2008, Douglas held multiple leadership roles, including Director of Linux SW Platform, where a global platform team was created to launch LINUX phones, and Director of 3G Software/Hardware Platform, leading the development of the first high-volume 3G phone for the European market. Douglas's career progression also included roles as SW Engineering Manager and SW Director, overseeing the development of critical software components and a growing engineering team. Douglas holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Computer Engineering from Iowa State University.
