Ivan Feng

Ivan Feng has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Ivan is currently employed as a Petroleum Engineer at BlackBrush Oil & Gas, LP, starting in 2023. Prior to this, Ivan worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin from 2021 to 2022. In this role, they were part of the RAPID research group, focusing on automated drilling fluid maintenance using advanced control algorithms. Ivan also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the same university, where they led lab sessions related to drilling and well completions.

In 2022, Ivan gained industry experience as an Intern at NOV, where they focused on data science projects involving the automated calculation of drilling metrics and KPIs. Ivan Feng also acquired additional certifications, including the ComboCurve PDP Evaluation Certificate from ComboCurve in October 2022, and the Drilling Fluids Fundamental School certificate from SLB in November 2016.
