Alex Sumner

Alex Sumner started their work experience in 2009 at Hargreave Hale as a Securities Trader, where they worked until 2013. In 2013, they became an Investment Manager and managed private client investment portfolios. Alex also played a crucial role in developing business offerings for IFAs and intermediaries. Alex joined Blackfinch Group in 2018 as a Portfolio Manager and launched a range of risk-rated multi-asset investment portfolios. In 2020, they became an Investment Director at Blackfinch Group before being promoted to Group Commercial Director in 2023. In this role, they work closely with the CEO and other business leaders to drive opportunities and steer corporate priorities. Alex is also the Consumer Duty Champion for Blackfinch Group, regularly consulting with financial advisers and other stakeholders.
