Don Schmitt

Don Schmitt is an accomplished software engineer and technology leader with extensive experience in the software industry. As President of Blackfish Software, LLC since August 2003, Don has overseen the development of various consumer and enterprise products, including the widely-used IE Tab, which boasts over 3 million users globally. Previous roles include Software Engineer at StumbleUpon, Director of Client Development at Candeo Technologies where Don led client-side technology architecture, and Software Design Engineer Lead at Microsoft Corporation, engaged in major projects for Windows XP and other platforms. Don began the career at Creative Systems, Inc. as a Software Design Engineer, focusing on software for nautical engineers. Education was completed at Washington State University from 1985 to 1989.
