Sandy Donlon

Sandy Donlon has a wide range of work experience in various roles and industries. They began their career as an Instructor/Statistician at UT Health San Antonio, where they conducted modeling and analysis for oral health outcomes. They then moved on to work at StatSoft as an IT Manager and Product Manager/Senior Consultant, where they managed software quality, technical writing, and localization, as well as provided training and support to clients implementing enterprise statistical systems. They then transitioned to Dell as a Quality Assurance Program Manager, where they managed resource allocation and project management for the Home and Small Business Online QA Department. At Cobb Information Systems, they worked as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer. Sandy then moved to URS Corporation as a Senior Statistician, where they supported various projects globally. At Bazaarvoice, they held roles as Senior Manager, Analytics & Data Science and later as Director of Analytics & Data Science, leading teams responsible for custom reporting, insights, and the development of data products. Currently, Sandy is the Director of Data Science at BlackLocus, where they lead the development of competitive intelligence data products and automated pricing applications, working cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams.

Sandy Donlon has a strong educational background in Mathematics & Statistics. They obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics & Statistics from The University of Texas at San Antonio, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. Sandy further pursued their education in the same field at the same university and earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mathematics & Statistics, completing the program from 1992 to 1993.

In addition to their academic achievements, Sandy has also obtained various certifications related to data analysis and programming. They completed the "Adobe Target: Target Advanced Power User" certification through Adobe in December 2014. Sandy also earned certifications in "R Programming" and "The Data Scientist's Toolbox" through Coursera Verified Certificates in June 2014. Furthermore, they obtained the "SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9" certification from SAS in February 2009.

Sandy also engaged in additional coursework in data science and programming. They completed the "Intermediate Python for Data Science Course" and "Intro to Python for Data Science" courses through DataCamp, although the specific completion dates are not available.
