Andre Franken

Andre Franken is a Senior Software Engineer at Blackmagic Design since May 2015, focusing on designing and developing automated test frameworks and embedded software for the Mini URSA product line, while also supporting manufacturing testing of broadcast equipment. Prior to this role, Andre worked as a Guidance and Control Engineer at BAE Systems Australia from January 2012 to May 2015, where responsibilities included the verification and validation of UAV flight control software and the development of object classification algorithms for LIDAR data. Andre's career began at ReconENG as a Technician from February 2011 to January 2012, specializing in PLC programming and troubleshooting for industrial automation systems. Andre holds a dual degree in Mechatronics and Robotics and Computer Science and Software Engineering from Swinburne University of Technology, completed in 2011.
