Ben Powell, CFA, currently serves as the Chief APAC & Middle East Strategist at the BlackRock Investment Institute since May 2019. Prior to this role, Ben was the UBS Knowledge Network & Head of Multi-Asset Sales APAC, where responsibilities included co-heading the Multi-Asset Sales team and hosting investment podcasts. Ben also has experience at Barclays Investment Bank as an Equities Macro-Thematic Sales Person, focusing on CIO-level coverage and building the European Equities franchise in London. Earlier in the career at UBS IB, Ben contributed to the top-ranked European Equities Distribution team. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Philosophy and Economics from the University of Bristol and attended Winchester College from 1993 to 1998.
