Benjamin Ellern

Benjamin Ellern, CFA, is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Director and SMA Strategic Projects Manager at BlackRock since October 2006. In this role, Benjamin leads initiatives to enhance processes, technology, and organizational structure within the SMA COO team. Previous positions at BlackRock include Director of Portfolio Management, where Benjamin was responsible for developing operational improvements, and managing a team of Portfolio Managers overseeing Multi-Asset and Models SMA. Before joining BlackRock, Benjamin worked at Merrill Lynch as a Portfolio Specialist. Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from Western Washington University, obtained in 2005.
