Jay Jacobs, CFA, serves as Managing Director and U.S. Head of Equity ETFs and Thematic & Active ETFs at BlackRock since April 2022. Prior to this role, Jacobs was with Global X ETFs from May 2013 to March 2022, where responsibilities included leading the research team to develop investment insights across various strategies, including thematic investing, international markets, and ESG/sustainable investing. Additional experience includes serving as an Executive Board Member for the Program for Financial Studies at Columbia Business School from May 2021 until July 2025, as well as earlier roles at NYSE and AK Capital. Jacobs holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in International Studies from Emory University.
