Maël Gallène, CFA, has extensive experience in sustainability and risk advisory, focusing on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues. Starting as a Research Assistant at CNRS, a role that involved studying the vulnerability of communities to natural disasters, Maël progressed through various positions, including Consultant at Mazars, where responsibilities included third-party verifications of non-financial data and conducting environmental assessments in the energy sector. Roles as Sustainability Officer at BNP Paribas and Corporate Social Responsibility Officer at Crédit Agricole Assurances further solidified expertise in managing ESG relationships and reporting. Following time at CFIE-Conseil as an Analyst intern, Maël joined BlackRock, initially as an Associate and currently as Vice President in Investment Stewardship, leading research and shareholder engagement for consumer sectors in the US and Canada. Maël holds a Master’s Degree in Business/Corporate Communications from NEOMA Business School and dual Master’s degrees in Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility and Geography and Environmental Science.
