Mark Spear

Mark Spear is an accomplished professional in derivative operations, currently serving as Director of Derivative Operations at BlackRock since June 2022. With extensive experience at Morgan Stanley from 2012 to December 2022, Mark held various leadership roles including Executive Director, where responsibilities included managing large teams across multiple regions and overseeing diverse financial products such as credit derivatives and municipal bonds. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mark worked at Goldman Sachs from 2001 to 2012, holding several vice president positions in commodity operations, where duties encompassed trade support and team management. Mark earned a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Pharmacology from the University of Southampton from 1997 to 2000.
