Michael Xu is currently the Head of Consultant Relations for Asia ex-Japan at BlackRock, a role in which they develop and maintain relationships with investment consultants across the region. Prior to this position, Michael served as a Portfolio Manager and Client Strategist in Transition Management at BlackRock from 2020 to 2023 and worked in Legal & Compliance at The Blackstone Group from 2011 to 2012. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Earlier in their career, they also contributed to college admissions preparation at Kaplan from 2009 to 2011.
