Michael Young

Michael Young is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, and valuations. Currently serving as Director at BlackRock since July 2017, Michael leads the Global valuations process for the Climate Infrastructure business with approximately $10 billion in assets under management. Prior to this role, Michael held various positions at ESB, including Vice President and Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, where responsibilities involved long-term financial planning, complex financial modeling, and investment appraisals for large-scale projects. Earlier career experience includes roles as a Financial Accountant at Westpac and as an Audit Supervisor at Ernst & Young, focusing on regulatory compliance and audit delivery. Michael holds a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin.
