Patrick O'Kane

Patrick (Paddy) O'Kane is a highly experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as a Director at BlackRock since February 2016. Previously, Paddy held roles as Non Executive Director at Drumlin Wind Energy Co-Op from October 2015 to September 2019, and as CEO/CTO at Aquamarine Power from September 2010 to December 2015. Additional experience includes being the Head of Engineering and Wind Resource Assessment at SSE Renewables from May 2003 to September 2010, an Energy Consultant at Integrated Energy from 2001 to 2002, and the Head of Electrical Engineering and Life Safety Systems at CH2M HILL between 1999 and 2001. Paddy's career began as an Electrical Engineer at Du Pont from 1986 to 1994. Paddy earned a B.Eng (Hons 1st) and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Queen's University Belfast, completing studies there from 1991 to 1998.
