Ryan Frater

Ryan Frater is a seasoned professional at BlackRock, having joined the firm in August 2012 and currently serving as the Director of Private Markets - Real Estate. In this role, Ryan oversees a real estate private equity portfolio and manages investment assessments, execution strategies for acquired properties, and overall fund strategy. Previous positions at BlackRock include Vice President of Private Markets - Real Estate, where Ryan assisted in similar responsibilities, and roles within the Real Assets Executive Team, contributing to strategic growth initiatives. Early experience includes positions in the Official Institutions Group as an analyst and associate, as well as a summer analyst opportunity with the executive group. Ryan began the professional journey as a Real Estate Intern at Todd Interests and a Summer Intern at DuncanDay Advertising. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the Texas McCombs School of Business, earned between 2008 and 2012.
