Ryan Kim

Ryan Kim, CFA, CAIA, has extensive experience in managing active equity strategies across Asia, currently serving as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at BlackRock since April 2003. Previously held positions at BlackRock include Director and Principal, where Ryan conducted quantitative research and managed Pan Asia active equity portfolios. Early in the career, Ryan worked as a Research Analyst, focusing on building single country alpha models for Hong Kong, Singapore, and Korea. Prior military service was completed in the Republic of Korea Special Warfare Command from April 1994 to October 1995. Ryan holds a Master of Financial Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as an MBA and BA in Theology from Yonsei University, along with a minor in Business Administration.
