Nancy Thomas is an accomplished professional in the fields of image processing and planetary science, currently serving as the Director of Image Processing & Software at BlackSky since June 2019. With prior experience at BlackSky in various roles including Manager (Interim) and Senior Image Processing Engineer, Nancy has a robust technical background in utilizing Python for advanced spectral analysis and mineral identification on Mars and exoplanets. Educationally, Nancy holds a PhD and an MS in Planetary Science from Caltech, complemented by a BS in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Washington.
