Nathan Casler

Nathan Casler is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and technology leadership in the geospatial sector. Currently, Nathan serves as Principal Engineer for Image Data & Software at BlackSky since May 2023. Previously, Nathan held the position of Senior Software Engineer at EOI Space and Umbra. Nathan's career also includes significant roles at SolSpec, where Nathan served as VP of Technology, Director of Technology, Lead Data Scientist, and Spatial Statistics Data Scientist. Earlier experiences include positions at Planet, the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, The University of Arizona, and GeoGRAFX GIS Services. Nathan holds a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science and Technology (GIST) from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Geography from the same institution.
