Tyman Stephens

Tyman Stephens is the Senior Vice President of Space Architecture at BlackSky, a position held since March 2019, where prior roles included Vice President of Constellation and Chief Engineer of Satellite Systems. Between June 2016 and March 2019, Tyman worked at SpaceX as Technical Project Lead and Program Manager for both the Starlink and Tintin programs. Prior experience at Northrop Grumman Corporation from March 2004 to June 2016 included positions such as S3E&I Space Vehicle Test Lead and O&M Deputy Assistant Program Manager. Tyman holds a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics as well as a degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Pacific Lutheran University. Ongoing education includes a certification in Program Management from Caltech.
