Amir A.

Amir A. is an experienced professional currently serving as the Head of DevOps at Blackstone since November 2022. Prior to this role, Amir held various significant positions including Division EOD Officer and EOD Battalion Executive Officer at the New York Army National Guard from February 2018 to May 2023, and Engineering Team Lead in Equities at Millennium from November 2021 to December 2022. Amir has a robust background in technology with a progressive career at Amazon Web Services (AWS) where positions ranged from Engineer to Senior Solutions Architect in Media & Entertainment between December 2017 and November 2021. Amir's military service includes various leadership roles in the US Army from 2007 to February 2018, highlighted by overseeing explosive ordnance disposal operations and advising Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defense. Amir holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech.
