Matthew Barrett, CPA, currently serves as an Assistant Vice President in Real Estate Tax at Blackstone since December 2021, following a role as Associate in the same department. Prior to Blackstone, Matthew accumulated experience at PwC from June 2019 to December 2021, progressing from Senior Associate to Experienced Associate in Real Estate. Earlier in 2018, Matthew interned in State and Local Tax at PwC and also held an internship in the Gift/Trust Group at Ayco, a Goldman Sachs Company. Matthew holds a Master of Science in Taxation from the University at Albany, where studies were completed in 2019, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the same institution, earned in 2018.
