Sam Blackwell

Sam Blackwell, MEng ACA, is an accomplished tax professional currently serving as Assistant Vice President in International Tax at Blackstone since September 2022. Prior experience includes a role as Tax Manager at Brevan Howard from September 2019 to September 2022, and as Senior Associate in Deals Tax for Private Equity Funds at PwC from September 2014 to September 2019. At PwC, responsibilities involved advising private equity clients on tax structures and UK tax implications of investment activities, as well as working in transfer pricing for financial services clients. Sam holds a Master of Engineering degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Cambridge, where studies concluded in 2014, supported by research experience at Rolls Royce and Xstrata Zinc. Early career included a summer internship at CEDAR Audio Ltd, focused on quality control automation.
