Amir Cohen

Amir Cohen has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. Amir is currently the Chief Accounting Officer at BLADE Urban Air Mobility, Inc. Since joining in 2021, they have been responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations.

Prior to their current role, Amir worked at Wunderman Thompson from 2015 to 2021. Amir began as the SVP Finance for North America, where they managed a team responsible for acquisitions, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), sales tax, accounting, and reporting. Amir also played a crucial role in assessing agency performance and resolving any commercial or operational issues. In 2017, they took on the additional role of CFO for Wunderman Seattle and Wunderman AI until 2018.

Before joining Wunderman Thompson, Amir served as the SVP Corporate Controller for North America at Young & Rubicam Group from 2013 to 2015. In this role, they managed the finance team and provided leadership to controllers across the region. Amir supported the agencies on various topics, including business planning, accounting, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

From 2008 to 2013, Amir worked at WPP as the VP of Accounting. Amir led the US External Reporting team and was responsible for the company's SEC filings. Amir also supported Investor Relations activities during their tenure.

Prior to joining WPP, Amir worked at PwC as a Manager from 2006 to 2008. In this role, they served global listed clients in the Media & Entertainment and Technology industries. Amir gained expertise in areas such as revenue recognition, global consolidations, carve-out transactions, and M&A accounting.

Amir began their career at EY in 2003 as a Senior-Associate. Amir worked with start-up ventures and publicly traded companies in the Technology industry, providing consultation on legal structure, equity raising transactions, taxation, and R&D grants. Amir also supervised a team of auditors.

Before entering the corporate world, Amir served as a Crew Commander in the Israel Defense Forces from 1994 to 1997.

Amir Cohen completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics and Accounting from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2001. Amir then pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Finance & Strategy from New York University, which they completed between 2010 and 2012. In addition to their formal education, they hold a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the New Hampshire Judicial Branch.
