BladeBreakWaters is a startup transforming decommissioned wind turbine blades into sustainable breakwater materials. We aim to acquire end-of-life wind turbine blades, refurbish them, and supply them to coastal protection projects to guard coasts, harbours, and infrastructure against erosion. By giving these blades a second life, we combine circular economy principles with practical engineering solutions. Our approach offers a durable, environmentally friendly alternative to traditional breakwaters, which are often costly and carbon-intensive. Supported by AXEL Accelerator and the Aurel-Steinert-Stifftung, we are developing our technology, building strategic partnerships, and bringing innovative coastal protection solutions to market.
