Alejandro Tizzoni

Alejandro Tizzoni is the EVP & Chief Risk Officer at Bladex. Alejandro has over 20 years of experience in the financial sector.

Tizzoni started their career in 1997 as a Senior Credit Risk analyst at BANCO GENERAL DE NEGOCIOS S.A. Alejandro held this position for 5 years before moving to Nación Leasing SA in May 2004, where they became the Credit Risk Manager.

In January 2003, Tizzoni moved to Avery Dennison, where they became the Account Receivables Supervisor. Alejandro remained in this position until April 2004, when they left to join Bladex.

At Bladex, Tizzoni has been responsible for procuring in proper time the domestic and international collections, preparing credit risk analysis, and maximizing the recovery of money from defaulted clients due to legal action. Alejandro has also implemented different ways of payment, such as Internet transfers, and has managed and controlled the DSO. In addition, they have reorganised the department due to international policies (reducing personnel, changing the collection system, downsizing the use of resources, etc.).

Tizzoni’s most important achievements include large amounts of recovered money from defaulted clients after the crush down of Local Economy in 2002, and working in-group with the Supplier Area (COMEX) to maximize the commercial business (green belt).

Alejandro Tizzoni has a Master of Science in Risk Management from NYU Stern School of Business, a FIBA Anti-Money Laundering Certified Associate from Florida International University - College of Business, a Fintech Programme from Saïd Business School at University of Oxford, and a DIPLOMADO EN ADMINISTRACIÓN DEL RIESGO FINANCIERO from Tecnológico de Monterrey. Alejandro also has an MBA in entrepreneurship from University of Louisville and a Bachelor in Administration from University of Buenos Aires. Their undergraduate studies were in economics and they are also a CPA from University of Buenos Aires.

Their manager is Jorge L. Salas Taurel, Chief Executive Officer. They are on a team with Erica Lijtztain - EVP & Chief Operating Officer, Eduardo Vivone - EVP, Treasury & Capital Markets, and Carlos Daniel Raad Baene - EVP & Chief Investor Relations Officer.
