Sam Burgess has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2003, they worked as a Sales Assistant for various companies during their late school years and through college. From 2005 to 2015, Sam worked as a Freelance Journalist for various online and print publications. In 2009, they joined Waterstones as a Senior Bookseller, where they were responsible for purchases, customer inquiries, and managing the Broad St. Book Group. Sam then transitioned to freelance copywriting, working with clients such as TP-LINK and Influence IT. In 2017, they became a Content Manager for NTT Security, where they created and distributed marketing content and collaborated with the Product Marketing team. In 2020, Sam worked as a Freelance Copywriter before joining Activate Learning as a Tutor. Currently, they are working as a Product Marketing Executive for Blancco Technology Group, starting in February 2021.
Sam Burgess attended the University of Reading from 2010 to 2013, where they pursued a BA Joint Honours degree in English Literature and Film & Theatre. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2008, they studied at The Sixth Form College Farnborough, completing their A Levels in Film Studies (A), English (B), Media Studies (C), and Sociology (D). Sam began their education at Yateley School from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained their GCSEs in subjects such as English (A), Media Studies (A), R.E. (A), Graphic Design (B), Sciences (C), and Mathematics (C).
