Brian McIntosh has a long and varied career in the advertising and marketing industry. Brian began their career in 1996 as an Account Executive at Graham Oleson, a full-service digital marketing agency specializing in automotive dealer groups and dealer associations. In 1998, they moved on to McClain Finlon Advertising, a full-service marketing communications firm with B2C and B2B accounts in Retail, Telecom and Technology. Brian was promoted to Account Manager in 2001. In 2006, they joined Hitachi Vantara as the Director of Customer Strategy, leading teams to improve business strategies, processes and technologies to create better customer experiences. In 2011, they moved to Slalom Consulting as a Senior Manager of Customer Experience Strategy, leading new business development and delivery of marketing strategy projects for Fortune 500 clients. In 2015, they were promoted to Senior Practice Director of Digital and Customer Experience Strategy, splitting their time across Slalom's network of 35 offices in the US, Canada and the UK. In 2018, they took on an Adjunct Faculty role at Metropolitan State University of Denver, teaching marketing and digital strategies. In 2020, they joined Avanade as the North American Digital Experience Advisory Leader, responsible for leading Avanade's Digital Advisory Practice in the US and Canada. Brian is currently the Chief Consulting Officer at BlastX, a strategic customer experience and analytics consulting company, where they are responsible for leading the strategy and development of management consulting and advisory services.
Brian McIntosh earned their MBA from Colorado State University, focusing on Business Management. Brian also holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Northern Colorado, where they studied Mass Communication/Media Studies.
