Karl Schmidt is a medical device leader with over 20 years of experience in product management, marketing, business development, and the commercialization of innovative technologies across global MedTech, oncology, diagnostics, and biotech sectors. Currently serving as the Vice President of Business Development at Blaze Bioscience, they previously held the position of Chief Operations and Commercial Officer at Blink Device Company, where they successfully led the design and market introduction of a novel neuromuscular monitoring device. Karl's earlier roles include positions at Centurion Medical Products, Mirador Biomedical, Boston Scientific, and Northstar Neuroscience, where they managed extensive product development and commercialization efforts. They earned an MBA in Marketing from the University of Washington's Michael G. Foster School of Business and a dual degree in Chemical Engineering and German Literature from the University of Washington.
