Tom Dickson

Tom Dickson is the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Blendtec, a company founded by Tom in 1987, known for its innovative line of blenders, dispensers, mills, and mixers, employing over 500 individuals. Prior to Blendtec, Tom served as Manufacturing Engineering Manager at ALZA Corporation from 1971 to 1976, where contributions included the development of the Progestasert IUD and various drug delivery systems. Earlier in 1961, Tom worked as an Assistant Tool and Die Maker at Santa Clara Metal Craft, assisting in the production of the first memory disks and readers for IBM. Tom holds a degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Brigham Young University, completed between 1964 and 1971.
