Daniel Cavicchio has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Daniel is currently the Chairman and CEO of Block Engineering, where they oversee product development and sales of next-generation quantum cascade laser detection systems. Prior to this, they served as the Co-CEO and Owner of Commonwealth Sprague Capacitor, where they successfully turned around the business and sold off its divisions. Daniel also founded and directed New Energy Partners and held various roles at American Can Company and McKinsey & Company.
Daniel Cavicchio earned a B.S. degree in Math, Physics, and Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they studied from 1962 to 1966. Daniel then pursued a Ph.D. in Computer and Communication Sciences at the University of Michigan, completing their doctoral studies from 1966 to 1970.
