Jason Goon has a diverse background in research and development, with experience in the fields of photonic sensors, detectors, and calibration systems. Jason has held positions as a Senior Systems Engineer at L3Harris Technologies and Block Engineering, where they played a key role in developing and implementing new products and projects. Prior to that, they worked as a Scientist at Boston Process Technologies Inc and as a Research and Development Manager at Morpho Detection, LLC. Jason also has academic experience, serving as a researcher, visiting assistant professor, and postdoctoral researcher at various universities, including the University of South Dakota, the University of Alabama, and Louisiana State University. Throughout their career, Jason has demonstrated a strong ability to write proposals and grants, develop resource and timeline requirements, and lead technical projects.
Jason Goon earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Astrophysics from the University of Oklahoma at an unknown time. Jason then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physics at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, from 1998 to 2004.
