Murtada has worked for several companies since 2009. Murtada began their career in the United States Army as a Section Lead for the 10th Mountain Division. Murtada then worked as a Consultant for a Fintech Company in 2016. In 2018, they worked as a Consultant for ChapmanBlack. In 2019, they began working for Priority1 as a Manager. Murtada also began working for Automotive Security Research Group (ASRG) as the Detroit Chapter President, ASRG-D Lead, and Member. Finally, they began working for Block Harbor Cybersecurity as COO, VP, Vice President of Business Development, and Vice President of Emerging Markets.

Murtada has an extensive educational background, having obtained a Masters of Science in Technology Leadership (Tech MBA) from Brown University, Global Leadership, Innovation & Technology from IE Business School, Persian (Farsi), Dari (Afghani), Arabic (9 Dialects) from the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center, and the certifications CySA+, Security+, Network+, PMP from various institutions. Murtada also holds additional certifications such as Automotive Cybersecurity Engineer ISO/SAE DIS 21434 from TÜV NORD Mobilität GmbH & Co. KG, Managing Cybersecurity Risks Using ISO/SAE DIS 21434 from SAE International, McKinsey Product Academy from McKinsey & Company, and VDA QMC Qualification as an ACS Expert in Automotive Cyber Security Management System Audits from the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA).
