Alex Manning is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in developing and optimizing payment processing systems. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Block since September 2019, Alex leads the Scalable QR Onboarding project, coordinating the efforts of three teams to introduce new payment methods expected to generate significant revenue for Square. Prior to this, Alex contributed to Amazon as a Software Development Engineer, where a new backend for the Amazon Music Web Application was created. Previous roles include software engineering at Nyansa, Inc, where web application enhancements led to increased user engagement, and KryptonCloud, where performance optimizations were implemented. Alex also served as an Industrial Engineering Manager at Paramit, where a mechanical process improvement initiative was successfully managed. Alex holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan College of Engineering.
