Alex McPherson is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in data security, governance, and privacy in the tech industry. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Block since November 2022, Alex previously worked at Twitter from May 2016 to November 2022, where responsibilities included managing the geolocation team and leading several significant projects such as the Twitter Dashboard and Privacy Center. Prior to Twitter, Alex held technical leadership roles at Kapost, Quick Left, and IHS Markit, focusing on building teams and delivering complex front-end applications. A founder of Small Batch Studios, Alex also has experience in program management from tenure at Thompson Island Outward Bound. Education was completed at Colby College with a Bachelor's degree.
